God could best be found by looking inward into one's own self, one's own soul, and from such an enlightened self-awareness would in turn come freedom of action and the ability to change one's world according to the dictates of one's ideals and conscience.

Human spiritual renewal thus proceeds from the individual's intimate personal experience of his own portion of the divine "oversoul," which is present in and permeates the entire creation and all living things, and which is accessible if only a person takes the trouble to look for it.

Why were hurricanes usually named after women?
Because when they arrive, they're wet and wild,
but when they go, they take your house and car.

Time to give thanks for all that we have... Let us pray!. For many in the world do not have.

Only days until Christmas Day, .

What a beautiful picture in this little ditty. You are right, they really don't know what a hard winter is - they are too close to the Atlantic and it keeps them warm.

We lived in New Jersey for 3 years and had 5 inches of snow once - everything had to shut down 'cuz of no snow removal equipment.

Had a hurricane there once, too. And a small tornado that roared like a freigh train and the weatherman called a straight line wind. Winter is coming - it is dark enough at 5:30 to need the headlights now.

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go.

Subject: Fwd: Alaska Bear Hunting

Now this is HUNTING...........
Read the little story below, then look at the pictures. This puts a new meaning to the words "Big Bear Hunting" in Alaska.

I'll just bet the guy stress tested his shorts over this whole deal.

This bear was killed by an airman from Elmendorf on Hitchenbrook Island. The bear stood 12'6" and estimated over 1600lbs. The airman was walking to his hunting area and the bear stood up only 35 yards away. The bear dropped down and charged straight for the Airman. He unloaded his gun and the bear fell 10 yards from him.
